Sony has picked up the spec script LOCKDOWN AT FRANKLIN HIGH by Dance of the Dead team of Greg Bishop and Joe Ballarini. The studio plans to put the project on the fast track , get a director and put the film into production.
The story is about a straight edge teen girl and her rebellious, socially outcast brother as they try to escape from their prison-like high school which has been locked down and plunged into anarchy and pandemonium due to the attacks of a ravenous, supernatural monster. The inspiration is real high school lockdowns and tragedies.
Lockdown will be produced by Benderspink’s own JC Spink and Chris Bender, with Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form possibly coming on to help to produce. This has potential to be huge!
