Recognized by movie fans and pop culture art enthusiasts across the world, Mondo has grown by leaps and bounds from its modest beginnings. "We are so proud to unveil our first gallery space. The evolution of Mondo has taken us from being head quartered in a ticket booth at the original Alamo location to our own standalone headquarters. We will take advantage of the extra room by having themed art shows for film, television, comics and all things pop culture. The first show features over 30 artists that produced screen-printed posters as well as original works based on their love for the science fiction genre," said Mondo Creative Director Justin Ishmael.
"We could not be happier about the artwork we've assembled for our inaugural show. It has always been a dream of ours to have a space to hold exhibitions, but we never anticipated this level of work. We are incredibly proud of everyone involved," said Mondo's Mitch Putnam.
"We've made Austin pretty again" said Mondo's Rob Jones in his best Rita Moreno voice.
Stunning original works of art and screen prints were created for some of the most beloved and influential science fiction films, including Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn, Forbidden Planet, A Trip to the Moon, The Man Who Fell to Earth, The Fly and Flash Gordon.
