Comic Book Review: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles # 7 by Kevin Eastman (IDW Publishing)

When we last left our heroes, Old Hob was introducing an evil that can only be known as Mousers.   This story picks up in an interesting place, as the Turtles once again united (The first six issues of this series had Raphael separated from his brothers), Mikey and Raph go in search of pizza while Splinter, Donatello and Leonardo are left at home to discuss science type stuff.
The big news of this issue is Hob flooding the underground sewer base of the Turtles with a seemingly endless supply of Mousers.   Splinter, Leo and Don are not enough to hold them off themselves.    When Mikey and Raph finally get home they might just be too late.   Yes, this issue ends on a cliffhanger with our heroes in trouble.  I kind of expect Raph and Mikey to help out battle the Mousers and scare off Old Hob, leaving Hob with the knowledge that the only way to beat the Turtles is to separate them because they are too strong as a unit.   But if it went in another direction and, say, Hob managed to kidnap Splinter (Which happened with Shredder in one of the movies, so who knows) then we could potentially see the Turtles on the chase again.   I honestly don’t know where this is going and that’s why I think I like it so much.
Now, as a side note to this month’s issue, I really would like everyone to read the first half again and tell me what they truly thought of when Mikey and Raph went to get some pizza.   Am I the only one who thought that pizza could be changed with any sort of drug and this could come out looking much like how a drug deal would go down?  Of course with drugs there’d be money and the pizzas were free, but still, am I the only one seeing this?
