Comic Book Review: Guerillas Volume 1 by Brahm Revel

Guerillas by Brahm Revel is a story about what I thought the term "guerilla warfare" always meant-- apes fighting against humans or other apes.   In black and white, this dark and gritty comic book delivers action, light hearted comedy and, well, apes with machine guns.   I always kind of thought this sort of thing was possible and maybe the government was doing it but not telling us.   As noted in the story itself, apes were first to go to the moon so why not to war as well?  In the end, I always wonder why we don’t just use androids to fight wars for us so that way there aren’t any human casualties on either side.  I guess that’s why I’m not a war-planner-person.  (That and my belief that this is somehow based on actual events)

The thing is, this isn’t that hard to digest right now and becomes quite an interesting as we have seen with such movies as Planet of the Apes.  Surely, if apes will rise up and take over the earth one day they can fight in Vietnam, am I right?
This is how, more or less, every war comic book should be from here on out.   Anything less would be uncivilized.
