WB And Tim Burton Want Robert Downey Jr. For Live-Action PINOCCHIO
THR reports that Warner Bros. is developing a live-action PINOCCHIO with Tim Burton who wants Robert Downey Jr. as the character Geppetto, the woodcarver who creates the puppet who dreams of becoming a real boy. The script was written by Bryan Fuller (Pushing Daisies) who is really becoming a hot commodity. Dan Jinks(American Beauty) is on board to produce the project.
In this version Geppetto embarks on a quest to reunite with his missing marionette.
Neither Burton nor RDJ have signed anything with Warner but both have expressed interest in the project and both have worked with WB. I'm definitely curious to see what Burton could do with a live-action Pinocchio. How about you?
