While talking to MTV Tim Burton talked up a little BEETLEJUICE 2 for us. It's no secret the guy is busy, with projects like Dark Shadows, Frankenweenie, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter on the horizon and even talks about a live-action Pinocchio but the guy still loves the ghost with the most and wouldn't mind revisiting the character.
When asked his feelings on the character and if there's any work on the project;
"Yes. I love that character, and Michael [Keaton] is so great in it. I always think about how great and fun that character was, so I just said to ['Vampire Hunter' writer] Seth [Grahame-Smith], 'If you have some idea about it, go for it, and then I'll look at it freshly.' In the past, I tried some things, but that was way back when. He seemed really excited about it."When asked if there's been any story handed in;
"No. I told him to try some stuff, but he hasn't come back to me yet. Michael was so great in it. I'm sure he'd strangely tap right back into it."As mentioned up top, Burton has a lot of projects in the works, so will Beetlejuice 2 ever get made?
"Just check them all off till later. Next year, we'll take a look at them like Santa's list. I'll tell you yes or cross them off the list."I'd love to see this movie get made with Michael Keaton back in the role! How about you?
