Forget about the awful Conan the Barbarian remake this past summer! Relativity has picked the director to bring an adaptation of the horror comic HACK/SLASH to the big screen with Alexandra Milchan, Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter on board to produce the project. Conan's Marcus Nispel is the man for the job and he's already tackled slasher remakes like A Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Friday the 13th so he's ready for some Hack/Slash I'm sure.
Hack/Slash centers on Cassie Hack, a woman who symbolizes the cliche of the lone girl who survives at the end of every horror movie. In this case, the girl not only survived but has become a killer of killers. Along with a hulking protector named Vlad, Hack travels across the country hunting slashers in the vein of Halloween's Michael Myers, Friday the 13th's Jason Voorhees and A Nightmare on Elm Street's Freddy Krueger. The Hack/Slash comic book was created by Tim Seeley and Stefano Caselli and if done right could be a huge hit at the box office because it has the right formula, a hot chick kicking evil's ass! What do y'all think?
