Blu-ray Review: CATCH .44

Watching the new thriller CATCH .44 on Blu-ray was a trip to say the least. This movie reminded me of Pulp Fiction meets Reservoir Dogs because the story is just wild with a body count to match but a whole lot sexier thanks to the three leading ladies.

The movie fallows three beautiful girls, Tes (Malin Akerman), Kara (Nikki Reed) and Tara (Deborah Anne Woll) who are sent on a job by their boss Mel (Bruce Willis). What happens is a mind trip of a road trip where things begin to go wring and just keep getting worse. We have lots of gun fire, death and a lot of betrayal, but who's the bad guy here?  Enter Forest Whitaker's character who uses several alias' in the movie and looks to be as crazy as they come, or is he? Who is really playing who here?

The cast doesn't stop there as we see Michael Rosenbaum show up, Brad Douriff and Shea Whigham are all in the movie.  The all-star cast is definitely a highlight in Catch .44 but the writing is excellent. Writer/Director Aaron Harvey delivers a great story and shoots a movie that is very original. The movie is so gritty, dirty and trippy I would swear the movie itself is on drugs! It's an insane ride for sure! The standouts from the cast most definitely are Akerman and Whitaker. Both put on a great performance and are the heart of  this movie! Willis really isn't in it too much but when he does show up he delivers and is as fun to watch as ever!

Bottom line is if you enjoy movies like Pulp Fiction or Reservoir Dogs then be sure to check out Catch .44 on Blu-ray because it's as wild as it is definitely sexy. Catch .44 is available now!  3/5
