EW reports that Robert Englund has been cast in LAKE PLACID: THE FINAL CHAPTER, which is said to be the final installment in the giant gator franchise. That subtitle "final chapter" reminds me of several other genre movies. Englund follows names like Betty White, Cloris Leachman, John Shcneider and Colin Ferguson in this cool series.
Englund will play Jim Bickerman, a poacher caught up in the film’s latest giant croc attack. Elisabeth Rohm (Law and Order) and Yancy Butler (Kick-Ass, Lake Placid 3) also star in the film.
LAKE PLACID: THE FINAL CHAPTER is currently filming in Bulgaria and shooting for a 2012 release.
