Deadline has reported that Lionsgate is looking at Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire scribe Simon Beaufoy to write the sequel to THE HUNGER GAMES - Catching Fire, the second installment of the three book series that tracks the life and death adventures of Katniss Everdeen played by Jennifer Lawrence.
It looks like director Gary Ross will also return for the sequel. Nothing is set in stone yet for Beaufoy but the studio is ready to go and pushing hard so we'll no within days!
The Hunger Games hits theaters on March 23rd, 2012.
