TRICK CANDLE PRODUCTIONS SIGNS MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR DEAL WITH HAN SHI GROUP IN CHINA
Investment will fund a slate of three to five films over the next three years
Los Angeles, CA (October 12, 2011) - TrickCandle Productions (TCP) has signed a $10 million dollar deal with the Han Shi Group of China to produce a slate of three to five films over the next three years, it was today announced by TCP President Tom Malloy. The films will be produced by Malloy and will be shot in Los Angeles.
The Han Shi Group was founded by Ms. Yuan Yuan Han and Mr. Lei Li of The Dahan World Media Company in China in order to invest in quality film productions around the world.
The first film in TCP’s slate is the drama entitled Sprawl, written by Domenic Migliore, directed by Dean Ronalds (Netherbeast Incorporated), and starring “America’s Next Top Model” winner Nicole Fox. The film, currently in pre-production, will be produced by Malloy and Brian Ronalds. Shooting will start October 25 in Los Angeles and continue through mid-November.
TCP is also producing a yet-to-be-named thriller produced by Malloy. The film has been written and will be directed by horror icon Tom Holland (Fright Night, Child’s Play). The project is currently in pre-production and will begin shooting November 28 in Los Angeles.
“I’m thrilled to be working with the Han Shi Group and honored that they have gotten behind my slate of films,” said Malloy.
“We’re delighted to be working with Tom and feel he was the best fit for our investment,” said Ms. Yuan Yuan Han, “We’re confident that he’ll produce films that are both artistically compelling and commercially successful.”
