BATTLESTAR GALACTICA Reboot Gets A Writer

This has been a long time coming! It finally looks like Bryan Singer's long overdue BATTLESTAR GALACITCA reboot is moving forward and has gotten its writer. Universal Pictures has hired John Orloff to write this big screen version of the popular sci-fi franchise.

Singer has been wanting to do this for a decade and Orloff (Legend of the Guardians, Anonymous) is a fan boy and says he's been dreaming of writing this since he was twelve years old so maybe he's the right guy for the job.

From Orloff;
“I have wanted to write this movie since I was 12 years old, and built a Galactica model from scratch out of balsa wood, cardboard, old model parts and LEDs. I love BSG, and I would pass on the job rather than frak it up.”
I wonder what will happen to Battlstar: Blood and Chrome because Syfy is already questioning it and  the pilot is already completed. Either way I think there's room for big screen and small screen versions of  this cool property, don't you?
