Dan Aykroyd Gives Us An Update On GHOSTBUSTERS 3

Dan Aykroyd was recently on the Dennis Miller Radio Show and offered up some "updates" on the pretty much doomed GHOSTBUSTERS 3.

Here's some of what he had to say;
"Yes, we will be doing the movie, and hopefully with Mr. Murray. That is our hope. We have an excellent script, but what we have to remember is that Ghostbusters is bigger than any one component. Although Billy was the lead and contributed to it in a massive way, along with myself, Harold (Ramis) and the director and Sigourney (Weaver), the concept is bigger than any one individual role."
He talks a little about his character Ray and Egon and  the shape they're in;
"The promise of Ghostbusters 3 is that we get to hand the equipment and the franchise down to new blood. My character, Ray, is now blind in one eye and can't drive the Cadillac. He's got a bad knee and can't carry the packs. Egon is too large to get into the harness. We need young blood and that's the promise. We're gonna hand it to a new generation. We want to go into production in the spring, I hope."
He talks about the next generation of Ghostbusters;
"I like this Matthew Gray Gubler from the Criminal Minds show, but we'll be casting," said Aykroyd. "We'll see everyone who wants to do it. It will be three guys and a young woman."
You know what Bill Murray, get the frak over yourself! I didn't think you was funny when you was younger and I know you're not funny now! You know the fans are begging for you to do  this movie and you keep holding out, you don't care about the fans at all or your old friends who are trying to get this movie made!  I hope this doomed movie never gets made! Let's just leave it at 2 movies and go home old timers!
