THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE stars Dieter Laser, Ashley C. Williams, Ashlynn Yennie and Akihiro Kitamura. This crazy ride opens in limited release on APRIL 30th going up against A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET and will also be available On Demand on April 28th.

Synopsis:
THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE is an unconventional – and medically accurate -- biological horror film that enthusiastically explores territory that few filmmakers dare to tread. When two pretty American girls go on a road trip in Europe, they end up alone at night in Germany with a broken car in the woods. They search for help and find an isolated villa, and awake the next day to find themselves trapped in a terrifying makeshift basement hospital. Their captor is the internationally respected Siamese twin surgeon Dr. Josef Heiter with a demented vision for mankind's future existence. Dr. Heiter wants to remove human beings' kneecaps so they have to exist on all fours and then surgically graft them mouth-to-anus to form a centipede chain. But when his victims give him more trouble than he expects – including unwanted attention from the authorities - Dr. Heiter is forced to decide whether to abandon his latest project, or protect it from the outside world – with their and his very lives, if necessary.

With True Blood Season 3 getting closer all the hype is rolling full speed with teaser videos and promo-posters being leaked. Now True Blood head honcho Alan Ball is talking a comic book spin-off of the popular vampire series. looks like they're gonna take good care of the comic too with Ball and the show writers taking part in this fun project!

General Mills To Bring Iconic Breakfast Cereal To The Big Screen!

Who loves Count Chocula, Frankenberry and Booberry cereal? My favorite is Count Chocula!

General Mills( the breakfast cereal giant)has optioned off the rights to these breakfast cereal icons! Yep, it looks like with the ever- growing popularity of the undead they are also ready to cash in with these beloved iconic cereal characters.

Count Chocula, Frankenberry and Booberry are all being developed for the big screen and being planned as a trilogy and in 3-D just like every other movie being made these days. The director is being kept a secret for now but check out the list of names for the voice casting possibilities!

FRANKENBERRY: JOHN C REILLY, WILL FERRELL, SETH ROGAN
BOOBERRY: JOHN TRAVOLTA, ROBIN WILLIAMS, WILL ARNETT
COUNT CHOCULA: ROBBERT PATTINSON, SAMUEL JACKSON, MICHAEL KEATON
Pretty cool names huh!

General Mills will also be doing a major tie-in with the release of these movies with a "prize in box" push for the kids to get their own pair of 3-D glasses in a box from one of the three brands.

Production starts this month with a wrap date scheduled for April 1st,2011 (YES April Fools Day!) and i set to hit theaters starting April 1st,2012, April 1st,2013 and April 1st,2014. Well they're either plying a good one on us or the dates are part of their strategy and marketing plans!

A few of my GeekTyrant brothers didn't really like Vincenzo Natali's Splice too much when it showed at Sundance but I'm excited for it and I've called it one of the surprise hits of the summer! Now don't get me wrong I'm not a huge fan of Adrien Brody or anything like that. It's the crazy subject matter in the film and what is created when you play with genetics/ cloning. I've seen some of the uncut clips and pics and really this trailer is watered down, it doesn't show much at all.

RYAN REYNOLDS Joins Another comic Book Movie! R.I.P.D.

Yes, Ryan Reynolds has become a franchise poster boy for comic book films! He's now signed on for R.I.P.D./ Rest In Peace Department.

Producer Neal Moritz described the film as;

"It’s about two cops, one recently dead and a gunslinger who’s been dead for hundreds of years who work on the Rest in Peace department - which is the police department of the dead. And they basically…it takes place on a normal day and it’s about trying to keep the dead quiet."
