GHOST RIDER 2 Without Nic Cage?

It looks like Columbia Pictures is needing a big hit  for their pocket book and are wanting to move forward with Ghost Rider 2 with or without Nicolas Cage. They would like for him to be in it, but the problem is National Treasure 3 is scheduled to start filming possibly as early as fall and if Columbia doesn't get Ghost Rider 2 started by November 14th the rights go back to Marvel which is now owned by Disney. So you kind of see the pickle here, right? There are many, many people out there that are scared to see what a Marvel/Disney movie will look like with Mickey Mouse pulling the strings! The bigger payday would be for Cage to do National Treasure 3 which is a freakin Disney movie anyway!

Here's what producer Mike De Luca Told Collider;
-Mark Steven Johnson is not directing the sequel
- Eva Mendes will not return as Roxanne Simpson
- Ghost Rider 2 (or Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance) will be a hard PG-13
- The film is going to take place in Europe
- De Luca is open to David Goyer directing the sequel but it all comes down to his very busy schedule
- Says the sequel will be like “pushing the reset button” on the franchise
- As you might expect from the success of Avatar, Ghost Rider 2 might be done in 3D
- Says Goyer has just delivered his updated outline to the studio
- And says Ghost Rider 2 could be in front of the cameras this year
So this interview was done back in January and a few things have changed and expect more to changes as this project is put on the fast burner! what do ya'll think about all this? do you want Nic Cage back? Personally I like Cage, I know there's a lot of ya'll that don't!
