John Krasinski (The Office) is very close to being cast as Steve Rogers aka Captain America. Word is he has already read 4 times and screen tested twice so it does look like he is the favorite. Personally i like Krasinski in his office role but I really don't know about this but considering the others who have read for the part) Jonas Brothers, Dane Cook) I guess he's the best choice. Are they going for a lighter, comdedic Captain America? I hope not!

Update- According to Deadline Krasinski isn'i in the lead running anymore, see how fast things happen in Hollyweird! This is a good thing for me, now with several names being dropped from the short list new names pop up and I like a few of these especially Chris Evans! Joining him are Mike Vogel and Garrett Hedlund. I think Evans is perfect for the part! So i think Marvel and director Joe Johnston slowed down the process a little to find the right guy! Thank you!
