Campaign Details
Mission: Buy Reaper on iTunes

The concept is this, many people cannot spend $30-$40 on an entire DVD Box Set at the moment, and we totally understand. So how's about spending $1.99 and still contributing to the SaveReaper campaign? It could help out in three ways:

1) You still have a receipt to give for the 1000 Receipts campaign
2) Allowing Reaper to get up on the top ten of iTunes episodes.
3) A freakin' sweet Reaper episode. Okay, that's a perk.

You can still prove that there's a Reaper fandom that is willing to spend. Money means everything to the studios. So:

  • On Wednesday, June 24th, 2009 buy Reaper Season Two episode "The Devil and Sam Oliver" for $1.99 from iTunes by using this link: http://bit.ly/buyreap do NOT get the HD one. I'm not sure if HD/Standard Def are counted as the same episode. Besides, HD is $1 more.

  • When the episode is finished downloading, watch it with us here at ReaperDMV and on Twitter by putting the #WatchReaper and/or #SaveReaper hashtags in your tweets, Wednesday, June 24th, 2009 at 9pm eastern*.

  • Forward the receipt you get from iTunes to savereaper[at]yahoo.com

Spread the word. Please join us and fight to SaveReaper.

*9pm eastern, 8pm central, 7pm mountain, 6pm pacific.

This thought came to my mind about 15 minutes ago when Blue Sunflower was on the Dr. & Mrs Who podcast. During the Veronica Mars campaigning days (ahhh), there was a campaign to buy the last episode that was ever made "The B**** is Back" on iTunes. It proved to work and brought that episode to #1 in iTunes for about a week or so.

The reason I bring this up is because it might be economically easier for some people (myself included) to by a $2 episode of "The Devil and Sam Oliver" to prove that there is in fact a market for the show, and people are willing to buy. iTunes gives receipts through email, so we could possibly tie this in with the Receipts Campaign.

I'm by no means a mastermind into what's a good campaign, so I await your feedback. (:
